THE STORY OF THE ALBUM COVER!
If you were at the Floral Pavilion gig in New Brighton, Merseyside last November – thanks for coming! It was an amazing night and you made it a spectacular experience. You might know by now that we recorded the gig and 5 tunes from the concert will feature on our new LP. You might also have seen recent photos of each of us in boxes! The album cover artwork will feature those pictures – three on the front and four on the back. In fact, they were shot in the dressing room that same night. And it's only one box. To be accurate, it's a doorless wardrobe (as modelled below by my glamourous assistant). Someone had put a couple of chairs inside and Clive sat on one to tie his shoe laces and I took a quick snap. Ever the juvenile art students, we all wanted a go so we each took turns throwing shapes and hurling abuse. Bette took the one of me.
When I got home I cropped the pictures to squares and arranged them together in one frame to circulate to the band as a momento of a great night. Next thing, Enrico says "It's an album cover!". And so it is.
