It’s nearly Christmas and time to put a smile on everyone’s face with a specal seasonal Deaf School appearance for Pacific Road.
At the end of a year that has seen them tour the UK and Japan, release their hit mini-album ‘Enrico & Bette xx’ and wow festival audiences, the band return to Merseyside to take their last bow of 2011.
“What a Way to End it All” brings together all the great big tunes, old and new, that make Deaf School Merseyside’s favourite band and wraps them for Christmas in a package that will keep you glowing well into 2012.
Get into the panto spirit with all your favourite characters as The Rev Max Ripple favours us with his famous rendition of ‘Baron Hardup’ on his magnificent organ.
There isn’t a dry eye in the house when Enrico Cadillac Jnr. as ‘Buttons’ leads the community singing during the Greek wedding scene.
Who can fail to gasp as the Ugly Sister (Nick Millard), with split second timing, launches into the second number just after the rest of the band have finished the third.
Reel as The Prince of Clang’s (Cliff Hanger) power chords slice through the darkened dockyards.
Melt as the Princess Charming (Bette Bright) woos you with her sultry tones.
Be dazzled by the faultless extemporisation of Idle Jack’s (Ian Ritchie) saxophone.
Take a nap with Wishy Washy (Mr Average).
“Pop’s great catalyst” The Guardian
